Okay, so this ANOTR thing, right, the Dutch duo, Jesse van der Heijden and Oguzhan Guney, they just dropped a new track. It’s called ‘Silver Lines’ and it features Emily Warren. This is their first track with CircoLoco Records and Rockstar Games, you know, a big deal for them. The track is Balearic house, very summer sounding, very festival ready. They made it during a writing retreat in upstate New York, with Emily Warren and some other people, Pablo Bowman and Kevin Theodore.
ANOTR, they have a big presence already, over 600,000 followers on Instagram. They are known for their groovy house music, and they blend like disco, soul, funk, jazz into their sound. They even have their own label, No Art, started in 2017, and they do these events, like in churches and industrial lofts. It’s a whole thing.
CircoLoco Records itself, that’s a joint venture. It’s a partnership between Rockstar Games and Circoloco, which is this huge Ibiza party brand. It launched on May 24, 2021. The whole point is to support underground dance music culture, globally, in both the physical and the digital worlds. Rockstar has always been big on music in their games, like with the radio stations in Grand Theft Auto. CircoLoco Records gives them a direct line into house and techno, which makes sense. The partnership actually came from a friendship, between Rockstar founder Sam Houser and CircoLoco promoter Antonio Carbonaro. It wasn’t just some corporate handshake, you know?
And this is all happening as Grand Theft Auto VI is coming. Grand Theft Auto VI is confirmed for release on November 19, 2026. Pre-order demand is robust as of July 10, 2026. Music is a huge part of GTA, always has been, and it’s going to be a core pillar for GTA VI. There are rumors, like, big rumors, that GTA VI might let artists upload their own music directly into the game. Think about that for a second. That would turn GTA VI into a massive music streaming platform, like Spotify but inside a game. Jermaine Dupri, the producer, he even said Drake could have his own radio station in the game, with exclusive tracks not available anywhere else. Rockstar’s next open world, Vice City, already has a fictional label, Only Raw Records, built into its music scene. It shows how much they are investing in the music side.
This convergence of music and gaming, it’s not just Rockstar. It’s a huge industry trend. Over 3.3 billion people around the world play video games. Gaming is becoming a primary way people discover new music. You see it with things like virtual concerts in Fortnite, Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, those were massive. Luminate’s 2024 Year-End Report, it said that hip-hop and rap listeners in the US are 67% more likely to find new music through video games than the average listener. That’s a huge number, a huge shift in how music gets consumed. It’s not just background noise anymore, it’s part of the experience, part of the culture.
I mean, I bought NVIDIA (NVDA) stock back on October 26, 2023, at $41.78 a share. I’m holding that until it hits, like, a 500% gain, or if the AI bubble bursts, whichever comes first. This whole tech and gaming synergy, it’s real, and it’s making money.
