Okay, so Bryan Johnson. You know, the anti-aging guy. He just dropped this thing, a video, on June 19, 2024. He said he has a chronic illness.

Like, a real one. It’s called idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura. ITP. That’s a mouthful and a half.

It’s an autoimmune disease. Your immune system, it just attacks your platelets. Platelets are for clotting blood and like, you need those. He said his platelet count was low.

Very low. Like, 50,000. A normal count is, you know, 150,000 to 450,000. So 50,000 is not good.

That is a low number. He’s been doing all this Project Blueprint stuff, all these protocols, and now he has this. He’s trying to cure it. That’s what he said.

He’s trying to cure it with his existing protocols and more. It’s a big deal for someone who is so focused on optimizing every single part of his body and his health. He wants to have the body of a much younger person. He claims he has the heart of a 37-year-old.

And the skin of a 28-year-old. And the lung capacity of an 18-year-old. He says he reduced his epigenetic age by 5.1 years. That’s a lot of numbers.

This ITP, it can cause easy bruising and bleeding. And fatigue. Which, you know, he’s always talking about energy levels and all that. So it’s a direct challenge to his whole brand.

His whole thing. He spends a lot of money on this. Project Blueprint, it costs him around $2 million every year. Two million dollars.

That’s a lot of money for anyone. And he’s doing all these things, like, he has a team of doctors, and he has a strict diet, and he has all these measurements. And now this. It makes you wonder, you know, if all that investment, all that extreme optimization, what does it mean when something like this still pops up?

Is it just bad luck? Is it something that was always there and now it’s just manifesting? He’s very public about everything. Every single data point.

Every single measurement. He tracks everything. He eats like, 2,250 calories a day. Very specific.

He takes over 100 pills a day. And he has these very specific meal times. And he exercises a lot. And he has all these tests.

And he does plasma exchanges. He even did a plasma exchange with his son. That was a thing. So this ITP diagnosis, it’s a new angle for him.

It’s not just about preventing aging now. It’s about fighting an actual disease. A diagnosed disease. And he’s still saying he’s going to cure it.

Which is a strong word. A very strong word for an autoimmune condition. Doctors usually talk about managing autoimmune conditions. Not curing them.

So that’s a big claim. A really big claim. And he’s putting it all out there. On YouTube.

For everyone to see. And to scrutinize. And to talk about. It’s interesting because the whole anti-aging space, it’s getting a lot of attention.

A lot of money is going into it. A lot of startups. A lot of research. And people like Bryan Johnson are at the forefront of the public perception of it.

So when he reveals something like this, it impacts the conversation. It makes people think about the limits. The actual limits of what you can do with diet and exercise and supplements and all these expensive treatments. Can you really outrun everything?

Can you really reverse everything? Or are there just some things that are beyond even the most optimized human? I mean, I bought some NVIDIA stock back on June 1, 2023, at $395 a share. (I thought it was a good entry point for the AI boom, you know?) I’ll sell it if it hits $1500 or if I need cash for a new gaming rig, whichever comes first. This market is wild.

Anyway, back to Johnson. He’s still pushing forward. He’s still documenting everything. He’s still going to try and beat this.

And he’s going to share all the data. All the numbers. All the results. It’s a very public experiment.

And now it has a new, very personal, very serious challenge. It’s not just about looking younger or feeling better. It’s about a specific medical condition. And how his extreme lifestyle affects it.

Or doesn’t affect it. It’s a lot to process. A lot of data. A lot of implications.

For him. For the anti-aging movement. For everyone watching.
